What time does the walk start?
Registration, t-shirt and prize pickup, games and entertainment will begin at 8:30 am. The walk will begin at 10 am. Please plan to arrive by 8:30 as parking may be an issue.
Can I bring my dog or ride my bike?
NO, for the safety of all participants, roller blades/in-line skates, bicycles, skateboards, scooters and pets are prohibited on the course.
I want to participate in SoulWalk but will not be able to walk the course. Is there anything else I can do?
Absolutely! We need help with many areas of the event. Visit the volunteer section of our web site or call 615-312-3152 for volunteer opportunities.
Can I register my entire family under one account?
Yes, you can register your family members under one account. Family members are in the immediate family and must reside with you. The person’s name who is registering the family will be the name displayed on your family webpage.
Can I use the same email address to register each of my family members?
Yes, you can register everyone with the same email address because it is not linked to your username or password.
Can a family work together to reach a donation goal?
Yes, you can register an entire family under one account. Family members must be of the immediate family and should include only members that reside with you. The person’s name who is registering the family will be the name displayed on your family webpage.
Can I register by using a paper form?
Yes, however, online registration is recommended. Registration forms can be downloaded from the website. Forms contain a waiver that must be signed by each individual or parent of the individual as a stipulation of one’s participation in SoulWalk. Please mail the completed forms to: SoulWalk, 103 Continental Place, Suite 200A Brentwood, TN 37027, postmarked no later than September 10, 2009.
What is the participant login?
The participant login is for you to use to access your personal SoulWalk page. Use your user name and password to login to your participant page; to view your individual goal, total received and balance. You can also send e-cards to family and friends to ask them to support you and join the team. The email will contain a link for donations to be applied directly to your account.
What is the Team Captain Login?
The team captain login applies to partner organization appointed team captains. They will use this login to manage the team’s progress, update the team page and send emails to the team.
What is an offline donation?
An offline donation is the cash or check donations you receive. To help you keep track of these donations, use the “offline donations” form from the downloads section of the website. You may turn your donations into your team captain, mail them to SoulWalk, 103 Continental Place, Suite 200A Brentwood, TN 37027 or return them the day of the walk.
Can donations be made in the form of cash or checks, as well as online?
Yes, please make all checks payable to SoulWalk. Please do NOT send cash through the mail. There is a printable letter and a contribution tracking form available online in the download section. Individuals may make payments online in your name or mail their donations in to our office at: SoulWalk, 103 Continental Place, Suite 200A Brentwood, TN 37027. Individuals may also turn their contributions in at the donation table on walk day. Please make sure they are in a sealed envelope with the participant’s name and team name marked clearly on the front. Include the donation form in the money envelope.
If I register as an individual how do I turn in my offline donations?
You can mail your offline donations to the SoulWalk office (SoulWalk, 103 Continental Place, Suite 200A Brentwood, TN 37027) postmarked no later than September 10, 2009, or turn them in at the registration tent the day of the walk.
Can I change the amount I pledged?
Yes, you can change your goal. Use the link in the toolkit section of your personal SoulWalk page to increase your goal.
How do participants earn prizes?
Prizes are based on donations turned in before the event, the day of the Walk and, within 30 days after the walk. A minimum donation level of $50 dollars is required to receive a t-shirt. A minimum donation level of $100 dollars is required to receive a SoulWalk baseball cap. T-shirts and prizes can be picked up at the registration tents the morning of the walk. T-shirts and prizes may be limited to the first 1,000 participants.
When do I get my SoulWalk t-shirt or prizes?
T-shirts and prizes can be picked up at the registration tents the morning of the walk. Pledge prize supplies are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where does the SoulWalk money go?
If you register under a participating church or organization, 50% goes to your participating organization and 50% goes to support SoulWalk’s parent organization, Reaching International’s, mission projects which include: fresh water wells, medical clinics, orphanages, and crusades. If you register as an individual, 100% goes to Reaching International’s mission projects.
Can my church/nonprofit organization register for SoulWalk?
Absolutely! Register by completing the online registration form or have a representative from your church/nonprofit call SoulWalk at 615-312-3152 to find out how to get started.
What organizations can participate?
The following organizations can participate:
- 501(c)3 organizations or any organization or business walking for an approved SoulWalk partner.
- Organizations whose mission complements the mission of SoulWalk
- Organizations who have completed the online partner registration form and received approval as a SoulWalk partner.
Is team membership limited to only my church or organization?
No, anyone can join your team and help raise money for your cause.
Does SoulWalk Cost my organization anything?
No, SoulWalk is a free event. All the costs of administration are covered through corporate sponsorship. We provide the materials, venue and publicity. You simply advertise your participation to your donors/members.
What is in it for MY organization?
50% of the funds raised by your church or organization support your ministry project. The other 50% is used to fund the ministry projects of SoulWalk.
Will this program diminish our existing fundraising efforts?
No, our fundraising model is not designed to collect funds from your existing donor base. We will provide the necessary tools for your donor base to use their outside relationships to bring new donations to your organization.
What should I set as the team’s fundraising goal?
You may set any amount you feel would help motivate your team to succeed. You can also raise the amount of your team goal by using the Quick Links section found on your partner page.
How can I track my team?
Log into your partner page with your team username and password. As you scroll to the bottom you will find a list of individuals who have joined your team. You will also see what their personal goal is and what they have raised to date. You can email them individually from this section or email all of them at once. Additionally, you can send recruitment emails from this section with a direct link to your team registration form.
